The console war just got more interesting. Following the success of the Steam Deck, Valve has officially entered the living room with the new Steam Machine (2026) — a compact hybrid console-PC built to take on Sony’s PS5 Pro head-on. Apple does things well whenever they implement old tech, but fumbled the Always on Screen feature.
The release of the iPhone 14 brings the era of AOS "Always on Screen" into the iPhone 14 pro series as a bundle in the package, whilst trying to be unique 'Apple way' they kinda messed it up, it does look cool at first glance until you drop your phone, just to still think your phone is On and you'd wanna press the power button to switch off the screen, which is distracting but not only does it takes brightness up a notch but take a noticeable toll on the battery life. I hope Apple do something about it soon enough though or it's gonna become the most useless feature to be announced by Apple.
It got fixed with a software update, cheers Apple 📣
